Backyard by Foley’s is shaping up to be one of Cape Cod’s biggest new summer spots. Created by the family behind the legendary J.J. Foley’s Cafe, this huge outdoor venue in Dennis Port blends the feel of a beer garden, live music venue, food truck park, and family hangout all into one relaxed Cape Cod destination.

Spread across 35,000 square feet, Backyard by Foley’s is designed for long summer days that drift into lively nights. At the centre of the space is a massive 5,000-square-foot sail-covered main bar with lounge seating, sofas, cocktails, beer, wine, and plenty of room to settle in properly rather than balancing a pint on your knee somewhere.

The venue is divided into different zones, giving it an easy-going “wander where the night takes you” atmosphere. The Game Zone features lawn games like cornhole and giant Jenga, making it popular with both families and groups of friends. A large projection screen will show sports and outdoor movie nights, while the Stage Zone brings live acoustic music, rotating food trucks, and flexible outdoor seating into the mix.

Backyard by Foley’s is leaning heavily into a family-friendly setup as well, with plans for yoga sessions, farmers markets, and community-style programming throughout the season. Multiple smaller bars are spread around the grounds so guests are never stuck queueing too far from the next round.

With 129 dedicated parking spaces, plenty of open-air seating, and a strong mix of entertainment and relaxed Cape Cod atmosphere, Backyard by Foley’s already feels more like a full summer destination than a standard pub opening. Given Foley’s reputation in Boston, many locals are already know this could become the Cape’s next major warm-weather gathering spot.
