From the team that brought you the award winning pub, The Dubliner, McGonagles made restaurant history less than 12 months after opening. The pub was put on the New York Times list of the 50 best restaurants for 2025. Owned by Donegal native Oran McGonagle, the spacious two-level venue combines authentic Irish hospitality with contemporary food, craft cocktails, live music, and one of Boston’s most carefully poured pints of Guinness.
The menu features classic Irish favourites including fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, Irish breakfast, seafood chowder, and Sunday roast, alongside modern dishes such as the popular Irish-Chinese spice bag, wood-fired pizzas, and a variety of seasonal specials. Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, with an emphasis on quality and traditional preparation.
Live music takes place every Friday and Saturday evening, while multiple large-screen televisions show a wide range of sports, including Gaelic games.
